Know Your Numbers
What is Your Blood Pressure? Blood pressure is made up of two numbers. The first, or top number is the pressure in your arteries when the heart beats (contracts). The second, or bottom number measures the pressure in the arteries while your heart is resting. One in three adults has high blood pressure. If your top number is 140 or higher and your bottom number is 90 or higher, please schedule an appointment with one of our providers immediately. Waterford Health Provider Earns State Award: The 2011 award recipient for the Marilynn Keeslar Legacy Award was one of Oakland Primary Health Services nurse practitioners, Dorothy (Dottie) Rodriguez from Waterford Teen Health Center. The popular nurse practitioner runs the district's school-based health center at Durant HIgh School, where she has earned a reputation as a caring and compassionate provider. The award recognizes an individual who emcompasses the traits of Marilynn Keesler-strong and passionate advocacy for children and school-based health centers. OPHS is very proud of Dottie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
